Our Trip to CURUG TARINGGUL, The Hidden Waterfall

About almost a year ago, at 23 of July 2017, my friends and I went to the hidden waterfall, Curug Taringgul. It's one of the waterfalls in Pangandaran Regency and it's still new that time. I guess, it's still not really popular right now. Maybe it caused by the conditions, the distance, and yeah something like that. My friends and I chose this place to visit coz our curiosity about this waterfall. Actually so many my classmate talked about this place and I was wondering and decided to visited this kind of place. If I'm not wrong, that time which is I went there is our summer holiday and we wanted something like mini trip to made our hormones happy? lol. It was sunny day and we went around after dzuhur time. Can you imagine how the weather was? Hmm.

This place is located in Cibanten Village, Cijulang sub-district, Pangandaran Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Spent around an hour from Pangandaran down town. And from our place too. It was so far from my place, indeed. But we weren't defeated by the distance. So we spent about an hour also and the trip was begin. You know, if you wanna go here too, I really recommend you to use motorcycle coz the condition of the road wasn't good (that time, idk for now). I was riding my motorcycle that time also and my friends did as well. When we arrived at Cibanten Village, we picked our friends up to showed the way to go there, coz there must be no accurate rute even with google maps. Luckily, we had a friend which is a local people out there.

We continued our trip and fought with an uncomfortable road, lol. Finally we arrived at the parking area of the place. That time still untouched by the government so the parking area, the path to the main place, and the condition of the place wasn't perfect enough (hanya seadanya saja). There's just a sign "Curug Taringgul" on the coconut trees. It was very quiet, silent, and the visitor was just us that time. Can you imagine? Like just your friend and you visit the tourist destination but in the middle of woods. haha. Sounds awesome but nervously also. Then, we parked our motorcycle and followed the path. From the parking area to the main place still should through so many things (I'll tell you below). Laughed and trying to make some jokes to reconciled the situation. We were totally alone. Just us who was walking down the path in the middle of the wood. It was little bit creepy for me actually. We fought with mosquitoes and our fear. I was thinking that the distance between parking area and the place wasn't really far. But the fact was the opposite. So faarrrr awayyy. And we keep walking and walking. Up and down the hills, and can you guess what's next? We through an unstable bridge, the wood has already fragile, and the river was so deep down like a valley. I guess it shouldn't called a bridge, coz that's not really looked like a bridge, dude. We crossed over that bridge one by one carefully. And one of my friend said, "Ih itu aya pelangi!" (there's a rainbow!) pointed a rainbow underneath the bridge. And you know what? A beautiful rainbow stayed there. We caught a rare thing in the middle of the wood! Unfortunately, we couldn't capture it coz its danger so we just enjoyed the view for a moment and continued our trip.

After that, we found paddy field near the river. We should through it and conquered the hot weather. That was like an awesome journey, dude! Trying to get the energy back by drinking some water and made some jokes as always. We met a hut in the top of the hill and heard a noisy sound. Turns out that the waterfall wasn't really far from us that time. So glad to heard that. The next challenge was to crossed another bridge, but it was more dangerous than before. The woods were unstable and weak. If we got wrong step, you'll fall into the rocks and the river. We traversed that bridge one by one carefully. And FINALLY we had already arrived to the main place.

The clang of the river and tinkling water from the waterfall really made us felt relax and grew our endorphin hormones. We're immediately getting wet and some of us going to swim. I enjoyed the view and relaxing my body. So far and long time to got there. But it was worth it! You'll be paid the same! The place is worth a visit. Preparing our camera, and you know what the next was, right? haha. Took so many photos at the bottom, the low part of the waterfall, we climbed up the hill and enjoyed the next spot which is the top of the hill and waterfall. Turns out that the top has a great view also. Enjoyed, relaxed, and took so many photos as well. We stayed quite long and we went back before too late.

I supposed you to come here if you wanna have great trip and unusual journey. But you should be careful through the bridges there. May be it has already repaired to be better now. And I've heard that you can take a body rafting at Curug Taringgul also. So, if you are in Pangandaran and wanna have a complete holiday package, just come here! Pangandaran has a complete holiday package indeed, from swimming, snorkeling, surfing, body rafting, camping trip, fishing, enjoying spectacular sunset and the beaches, viewing the best landscape from so many hills, enjoying so many waterfalls and caves and corals, Pangandaran has it all. It is a full package vacation, fit for every age and an ideal place to be visited at anytime of the year. I hope that the government pay attention to organize this place, Curug Taringgul to be one of the great tourist destination in Pangandaran.
