Journey to BATU NUNGGUL BEACH (The Other Side of Batu Karas Beach)
Well, on the last June of 2018 I went to Batu Nunggul beach with my friends. Actually it was on our holiday period and we don't know what to do so we decided to go there. Why should Batu Nunggul beach? Haha I don't even know why, even we know that the condition of the place that time still awful, I mean not really beautiful. And you know what, we didn't know the route and where the exactly place so we got lost also, I'll tell you below. I think it was because of the calmness of the place and there must be no people, no tourists, and silent. If they were any people, it must be a fisherman or sugar maker who climb the coconut trees. So yeah, we chose that place. One of my friend recommend to go see Citumang but she lose on her argument lol.
It was a shiny day and we went on around 9 am (actually it should be 8 am but the habit still defeated us). We rode our motorcycle and fortunately the road is vacant and we didn't meet the traffic jam. And yeah we arrived after 30 minutes riding. But it's not fast as you might think. It should visit the Batu Karas Beach (the main and the center beach) first. If you wanna know about Batu Karas Beach click here. Batu Nunggul beach is located at around Batu Karas beach, so you have to visit this beautiful place first to get there. Here's the link on google maps. The situation there was very crowded and full of people who wanna get the great holiday wkwk. We parked our motorcycles and bought some foods and drinks for our fuel to go there lol but it was true hahaha. We realized that there were nobody know to get the place among us lol. Trying to asked people and we got the information that we just should go straight ahead to the place which is full of trees and looks like isolated from people haha. Then we walked to the main point. Wondering why we didn't ride our motorcycles there? It was because everybody told us to just walked away, if we rode something, it won't works at all. Why? You will know hahaha. Then we were starting confused about the direction that the man told us. We took a video call to our friend who know the route. Video Call? Hell yeah we're genius right? lol. Our friend told us that we should find the path on the hill. Then we were trying to look for the path. "Oh itu meureun!!" said my friend with her enthusiastic tone (which is mean Oh is it that path?). We immediately tried to reach that hill. And yesss! There was a path! Climbing up the hill and what's next?? Can you guess it? We were lost! The path was missing. Got lost in the middle of the wood, darkness, so many mosquitoes, lol. Then we heard "mbeee.. mbee.." and turns out that it were around half a dozen of goats in the hut. haha it was true. Then we were trying to think as soon as possible to find the right path. We assumed that the path we were through is just for getting the hut. I was finding the new path and following that path and told my friends to stay calm. I climbed the hill to the top and heard the sound of the wave and wondering why. When I reached the top, I was shocked that I was over the sea!! I looked to the down and scared. It will be perfect to suicide there lol. I back to my friend and told that we couldn't use that path and go down soon. My friend tried to took a video call again with my friend with lil bit angry with him haha. yeahhh turns out that he forgot the path as well. lol. I was trying to look for somebody and go back to the crowd. I caught a middle-age woman which is a local people and trying to asked her while my friends stayed at the edge of the hill. Wanna know what did she explain to me? It turns out that the direction that we had already through was completely wrong!! LOL!! Then I pay attention to her explanation. I understood, thanked to her, go back to my friends and led them into the right path. Wanna see the condition of the path? Here's the photo:
Sorry for the resolution of the photo. Let's back to the story! We followed the route with sweaty and getting fun like a real journey lol. The route was very small and there were no people at all! really! The path was not suitable for any vehicle bcoz of the condition of the path was really emmm you know what I mean hahaha, yeahh like small and narrow way, its unevenness of this path, valley beside, and bumpy scary roady hahaha. Climbed the hill, fought with insects, defeated the hot weather, haha lol and finally got on the top of the hill. Seeing a beautiful view from there but unfortunately that place was no longer beautiful place, not clean, not organized anymore. We could see the ruins of a gazebo, photo-spot area which has fragile and unstable. We wanted took a picture on that spot, but we thought it twice, you'll dead if you go there, drop into the sea. That photo-spot area was very famous around 1 or 2 years ago, when Batu Nunggul still on famous coz its new. But now, it's like an isolated area and no people would go there. At the top of the hill, we started on the downward path to the main beach.
We've got there, eventually. The beautiful one, the calmness one, the relax feelings one. The branches waved in the breeze, the sound of the wave swelled on the air, and there's no tourist AT ALL. We just found 2 fisherman who was fishing on the edge of the beach. We felt the quietness, tried to relaxing our body after the journey and enjoying the beach, drinking some water to brought the energy back. Something that I regret about the place was a very dirty beach, you'll see so many rubbish around the beach, and that place was like an isolated area like a no-people island for real. I think the rubbish was from the visitors when Batu Nunggul still famous previous time ago and visitors who threw litters to the beach at Batu Karas beach and there're no people who organized this place till the beach wasn't amazing anymore. The government should pay attention to this matter and it would be great if this place maintained and organized by them. It might be the second one beach from Batu Karas beach and the tourist will be growing up. Sounds like cool, uh? We'll see and wait for it okay!
Actually, this place is one of the best place to see a sunset apart from Batu Karas beach and Pangandaran beach. But we came at noon so we can't see a sunset bcoz one of my friend had another schedule. So we took some photos there, selfies, groupies, and made a video? yeahhh I did. If you wanna see that click here. We quite enjoy the beach, it has a beautiful rock over the sea (rock means batu, but nunggul is IDK lol forget it), and the wind made us feeling adorable. I wanna hunted a cave in the middle of the beach but I can't reached it out bcoz the wave was very big so I couldn't. So unlucky indeed, but yeahh I should visit that place on the other time, wanna accompany me? lol. If you wanna have a quiet beach like a private beach but still OK, I recommend you to choose this spot. We back soon before dzuhur time was out. We spent our time at the Batu Karas beach for a little moment and took some photos also haha and then we went to Cafe for having a lunch.
